Pakistan and Germany step towards establishing Defence ties

A delegation of German Parliamentarians met the Defence Minister Syed Naveed Qamar yesterday to discuss cooperation on military issues and Germany’s policy of exporting Defence equipment to Pakistan. Mutual issues related to cooperation and Defence were the main focus of the meeting and the Defence Minister spoke about Pakistan’s constant battle against terrorism. He also suggested increasing trade opportunities between the two states especially with regards to Defence and military equipment.

The members of the delegation applauded the successful completion of tenure of the current government and expressed their wishes to see Pakistan as a flourishing democracy. The meeting ended on a good note indicating a strengthening relationship between the two states in future.
