The 21st Pak-US Defence Consultative Group (DCG) meeting commenced at the Ministry of Defence. The twenty five member US Delegation is led by Dr.James Miller, under Secretary of Defence for Policy USA, alongside Richard Olson, US Ambassador to Pakistan. The two dignities called on Secretary Defence, Lt. Gen (Retd) Asif Yasin Malik at his office before the start of formal meeting.
The two-day session will review Defence Cooperation between the two countries and progress on previous DCG meetings. The meeting will focus on regional security environment and challenges faced along Pak Afghan border.
The delegation will wrap up meeting on December 4, and finalize a schedule for future meetings before departing for USA.
