Navy inducts fast attack craft into fleet

The Pakistan Navy (PN) on Thursday inducted PNS Azmat, a Chinese-built Fast Attack Craft (Missile), into its fleet during a ceremony at the PN Dockyard.

On the occasion, the Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Zakaullah said that the induction of PNS Azmat was a moment of pride for Pakistan in general, and the Pakistan Navy in particular. He hoped that the induction of the platform would provide operational flexibility to safeguard Pakistan’s maritime interests. General Khalid Shamim lauded the defence cooperation between China and Pakistan on the occasion, and said the long standing ties between the two countries are the manifestation of an enduring, multidimensional and deep-rooted relationship.
